Stone Lantern Games released a new demo for their 2D puzzle platformer Evergate after reaching 91% of their Kickstarter goal.
The new demo includes 30-minutes worth of content. Players journey through the realm of Gods and spirits where they explore the afterlife. The goal is to reclaim memories.
Evergate features a unique align-to-shoot mechanic where players aim only energizes when it connects with an afterlife target. Players unleash their Soulflame and harness trapped energy in this platformer to solve puzzles, find lost memories, and save their kindred spirit. The goal of each puzzle is to reach the end gate however a player can.
There are over 100 challenging puzzles with many possible solutions. The world is filled with crystal powers which add nuance and depth. An emotional and gripping narrative follows players on their journey through hand-crafted art and music.
At the time of this article’s posting the Evergate Kickstarter campaign had reached 94% of its funding goal of $25,000 USD with about 16 days left of the campaign. Players interested in the game can find a link to the new demo on the game’s Kickstarter page.
