Screwtape Studios on October 19 launched their previously early access game Damsel. As a fast-paced arcade platformer, players will encounter comic book visuals and storytelling with fast action gameplay.
The dark cartoon world of Damsel comes alive as Special Agent Damsel, the main character, vanquishes vampires, rescues hostages, disarms bombs, hacks servers, and much more.
Damsel the game consists of the first two episodes of Damsel’s adventure. There are 50 missions, and a comic book story where Damsel takes on the Red Mist Beverage Corporation as she investigates their rumored new secret menu drink that contains real blood.
Players who desire challenge can participate in Damsel Dash, a set of weekly challenges with special conditions. The single player with the highest score will become ‘Slayer of the Week’ and earn exclusive free Damsel merchandise.
The official Damsel original soundtrack is available on the Steam store. Featuring 20 remastered and enhanced songs this gothic synth soundtrack will keep players grooving as they get their vampire kills. The soundtrack is available for $6.99 USD on Steam.
Damsel is available now on Steam for $19.99 USD with a special introductory discount of 25% until October 24, 2018. The game is available to play on Windows and Linux with Mac support coming shortly after and console availability in the coming months.
Screwtape Studios is based out of Brisbane, Australia. Founded in 2010 by Megan Summers (Follow Megan on Twitter) and Anthony Wood (Follow Anthony on Twitter), Screwtape Studios has released five mobile titles, including the hit Bank Job released in 2013. In 2015 the company moved to PC and console development. Damsel will be their first title.
