BATTLETECH’s First Expansion Announced Pre-Orders Begin

Flashpoint, BATTLETECH’s first expansion was announced by Paradox Interactive and Harebrained Schemes today, October 18, 2018. Pre-orders are now live. The expansion will launch on November 27 for a $19.99 MSRP on Steam, GOG, and Paradox Plaza.

Three new ‘Mechs, a new mission type, a tropical biome, and more will be included in the expansion. The new ‘Mechs include a speedy and versatile Crab, an armor chopping Hatchetman, and a battle computer equipped Cyclops. In the new mission type, light and medium ‘Mechs will be put to the test. The new lush tropical biome is pretty, but watch out for spore clouds.

Flashpoint will also feature branching multi-mission contracts. The contracts pull players into the machinations and feuds of the Great Houses through a series of short stories.

In addition to today’s announcement, two new bundles are available now. The BATTLETECH Season Pass and the BATTLETECH Mercenary Collection, a super-deluxe edition that offers a money-saving opportunity.

Season Pass holders will gain access to all current game content, plus Flashpoint and the next two planned BATTLETECH expansions. The discounted Season Pass price is $49.99 MSRP. The Season Pass will contain metropolitan combat in the Urban Warfare expansion plus more in another unannounced expansion in the works for 2019.

The Mercenary Collection is the ultimate BATTLETECH bundle that includes the Digital Deluxe Edition and the Season Pass in addition to all current game content. This super-deluxe deal is out now for $89.99 MSRP and offers a $20 savings over buying the products separately.
