Wired Productions and developer Angry Demon Studio have announced the release date for their upcoming ultra-violent hack-and-skate third-person platforming title, Gori: Cuddly Carnage. This August, both PC and console players can ride a hoverboard and unleash some cute cat carnage.

Developed in Unreal Engine 5 and winner of the Epic MegaGrant, Gori: Cuddly Carnage looks to redefine the 1990’s platformer for modern audiences. The game also features a pulse-pounding soundtrack serving as a backdrop to the dark adult humor, terrifying toys, nightmarish bosses, and deadly landscapes encountered during Cori’s travels.
Cats have nine lives, and Gori has used most of them! When we first started to collaborate with Angry Demon Studio nearly 3 years ago, they had already been through a ride in development, but thanks to their determination and vision, with our support, they’ve been able to deliver exactly what they set out to do.
Gori: Cuddly Carnage is a throwback to the games I played in the late 90’s and 2000’s. It’s pure adrenaline, fun, outrageous and really a showcase of just what indie gaming is all about – a place for creativity, freedom and the ability to make the game you want to make. Angry Demon Studios did just this, and I couldn’t be more excited for its launch on August 29th.

About Gori: Cuddly Carnage Gameplay
Gori is a cat who rides and performs gnarly acrobatics with his best friend, the foul-mouthed hoverboard named F.R.A.N.K., and the perpetually sad AI, CH1P. Set in a futuristic neon world of intense high-speed destruction, Gori, his skateboard, and AI are all that stands between society’s remains and the Adorable Army, a horde of mutated toys.
Accidently unleashed by Professor Y, these former toys, under the leadership of Pinky, the diseased dictator at the head of the Ultra Pets, now roam the Earth as tyrants. Much of Cori’s backstory can be explored in the previously released Gori: Cuddly Carnage Origins Story Trailer.
Combat is visceral and blood-soaked as Gori battles against the blood-thirsty toys. Use Gori’s devastating combos, glory kills, and powerful charged abilities, to rip these zombie-like toys to shreds and enjoy high-energy thrills. Maybe, in the end, Gori can save some of his 9 lives for a comfy retirement.
Gori: Cuddly Carnage Availability
Gori: Cuddly Carnage has a release date set for August 29, 2024 and will launch on PC via Steam and GOG, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Players can pre-order the game on PlayStation for $19.99 and on Xbox for $21.99. PC players can wishlist the game on Steam and GOG.
The Gori: Cuddly Carnage Soundtrack, featuring 17 tracks that will be added and updated during the production process, is currently available on Steam for $6.99.
