Botany Manor Botanical Puzzle Game Now on PlayStation

Publisher Whitethorn Games and developer Balloon Studios have released their relaxing immersive botanical puzzle game, Botany Manor, on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.

Originally, Botany Manor was scheduled to release on PlayStation last December. The publisher stated, in a post on X, that a little extra time was necessary to ensure PlayStation players have the best possible experience. After a little more than a month delay, PlayStation players can join in on the botanical fun that players on PC, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox have enjoyed.

On PlayStation, as players uncover forgotten seeds and piece together clues to solve puzzles, they will be able to take advantage of the immersive features of the PlayStation DUALSHOCK 4 and DualSense controllers. Using button controls or touch pad motion, players can flip through book pages when researching while the light bar echoes vibrant hues of each flower as they bloom.

Take a step back in time to 19th century England. At the historical homestead estate of Botany Manor lives retired botanist Arabella Greene. Her vast collection of rare and long-forgotten plants also resides at the manor. As Arabella, players will need to search through her notes while exploring the historic grounds for clues to learn what the various strange flora require to flourish.

Unlock and plant strange and unusual new seeds. On the luxurious estate a number of interactable objects can be turned and flipped, aiding in solving each garden puzzle. Discover the mysterious qualities of the strange plants by helping them grow and bloom.

A gameplay video, released in April 2024, explored the necessary steps to make the unusual Pixie Tears plant bloom. Similar to other plants on the estate, this plant requires a series of steps to make it flourish. Pixie Tears are an example of the many plants Arabella has collected over the years. Balloon Studios’ Laure De May takes players on the journey through Arabella’s research to determine what steps are necessary to bring this once forgotten plant back to full bloom.

Three other mysterious plants were announced in March of 2024, via three teaser images. The three plants included the Windmill Wort, Ash Plume, and Fool’s Emerald.
