Publisher Hooded Horse and developer Long Jaunt have announced a revised release date for their medieval kingdom sim, Norland. This additional time will allow the developer to include some extra features such as Enhanced World Map trading and Prophecies.
Several additional features are being added as a result of the additional development time. These features touch all aspects of the game will add more to the rich complexity of the medieval colony sim.
Enhanced World Map trading now can only be done by negotiating contracts with neighboring rulers. Players are now forced to look beyond their immediate borders for continued kingdom prosperity as ecological factors such as soil erosion or limited raw materials now come into play. Additionally market saturation of materials will also impact the economy.
Several new local map mechanics will come into play. Patrolling, enhanced character reactions, and market speculation will impact local map gameplay.
Ruling families are no longer immortal. Aging will happen. For the mid-game, prophecies and disasters can mess-up one’s finely planned out strategy.

Norland Availability
Norland now has an Early Access release date planed for July 18, 2024 and will launch on Windows PC via Steam. Previously the game was intended to release into Early Access on May 16, 2024.
Over 500,000 wishlists now contain the game on Steam, placing Norland with the top 50 most wishlisted games on the platform. During Steam Next Fest in June 2023, the game was added to over 50,000 wishlists alone.
The game will be localized from English into Czech, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, Spanish, Turkish, Ukrainian, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
