Midnight Ghost Hunt 1.0 Release Includes Map Revamps

Coffee Stain Publishing and Vaulted Sky Games have fully released their hide-and-seek title, Midnight Ghost Hunt on PC. Version 1.0 of the 4v4 multiplayer ghost versus ghost hunter game includes a full revamp of all 10 maps along with a range of new visuals.

After almost two years of Early Access development, Midnight Ghost Hunt officially hit its version 1.0 release. The full version contains a wealth transformations, changes, and updates to almost every aspect of the game. Besides the revamp of all 10 maps, there is a whole new Ghost and Hunter bot AI, new Ghost visuals, new profile pictures, game difficulty levels, new weapon skins, and so much more.

To ensure the best versions are available, all 10 game maps have been revamped. Most maps have seen large layout changes. For example there is less reliance on ladders for verticality on maps like Ghost Ship and Asylum. New designs and layouts, new lighting and contrast, more strategic hiding spots, and much more has been done to improve the game flow and means of escape on each map.

Bots have received a major AI upgrade. Both Ghost and Hunter bots will employ improved strategies and navigation. These changes make AI allies essential and foes frightening in the heat of the match. For example a Hunter bot may equip a Radar and follow Ghosts during the hunt.

The updated bot AI allows players to create a lobby with friends and have bots reliably fill in any vacant spots. There are three Bot difficulty levels to choose from: Easy, Normal, and Hard. Bots can also be left on Auto which will adjust their difficulty to the average player level in the server. Additionally, bots have more personality with updated fresh names, skins, and profile pictures.

All new Ghost visuals offer a significant visible upgrade to their overall appearance and aura. The overhaul effects all skins from the default Ghost skin all the way to the Krampus skin. These changes add to the visual clarity of a chosen spectral skin.

Each weapon has at least one new skin. Ghost Shards can be used to unlock Hunter weapon skins similar to other cosmetics. Unlock the Mastery achievement for a given weapon to unlock a shinny golden skin for the given weapon. Several Hunter weapons also include new VFX that contrast better against the Ghost blues.

Heading to hunts are stressful as the clock quickly approaches midnight. To help alleviate some stress, the van ride has been revamped for maximum comfort on those long trips to haunted locales.

Other changes include medkits now only healing 40% instead of the previous 100%, medium sized props are now more likely to break when using a charge attack, and player titles are now shown on all end of game screens. A detailed list of changes in the Midnight Ghost Hunt version 1.0 full release can be read in the developer 1.0 Full Release Out Now post on the game’s website
