NEOWIZ and developer SouthPAW Games have announced that their 2D roguelite pixel art platformer Skul: The Hero Slayer has achieved the feat of 2 million copies in sales. This milestone reflects sales from all platforms including PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store as well as console sales on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
Besides achieving 2 million copies sold, Skul: The Hero Slayer has over 41,000 reviews on Steam with 93% of the reviews being positive. Overall the game currently holds a Very Positive rating that reflects the game’s continued success in the Action Roguelike genre.
Additionally, Skul: The Hero Slayer is making history by becoming the first Korean indie game to surpass the milestone of 1 million copies sold within its first year of release. In Korea, the game has also laid claim to the third sport as the most popular game in the Action Roguelike genre. The game’s popularity still continues to grow in the region while maintaining a spirited gaming community.
This past November, the Skul: The Hero Slayer Mythology Pack paid DLC and the free Demon King Castle Defense 1.8.0 game update were released on PC. The release of this new content showcased the developer’s commitment to delivering new game content to the game’s devoted player community.

Skul: The Hero Slayer is available on PC for Windows, Mac and Linux through Humble Bundle, Steam, and Epic Games Store for $19.99. The recently released Skul: The Hero Slayer Mythology Pack DLC is available on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store for $3.99. According to a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the console release of of the 1.8.0 update and DLC had been delayed because of technical issues that have now been resolved. Console players will be able to enjoy the update and DLC in January 2024.
