Core Keeper Coming to Consoles Next Summer

Fireshine Games and Swedish game developer Pugstorm have announced that Core Keeper is coming to consoles next summer. The launch on current consoles will coincide with the 1.0 release of Core Keeper on PC.

When Core Keeper launches on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles in summer 2024, all of the existing content introduced during the PC Early Access period will be included. Everything seen in the various updates such as the recent Shimmering Frontier update that added a crystal biome or the Paws & Claws update that pets will be available. In addition, all content in the upcoming 1.0 update will be included.

We are so excited to bring the world of Core Keeper to even more players with the console versions next summer, directly alongside the 1.0 update on PC. With 2 million copies sold in Early Access, Core Keeper has proven to be a hit with the gaming community, and we can’t wait for more players to discover this captivating adventure next year.

Besides selling 2 million units during the Early Access period, the underground mining, crafting, and fighting sandbox survival exploration adventure title has claimed several accolades. Core Keeper is winner of ‘Best Social Game 2022’ at the TIGA Games Industry Awards and nominated for ‘Best Early Access Launch’ at the Golden Joystick Awards 2022. As of press time, more than 22,000 Steam users have reviewed the game for a ‘Very Positive’ rating with 91% of the reviews being positive.

Core Keeper Availability

In summer 2024, Core Keeper will exit Early Access with the 1.0 update on PC. With the 1.0 release, the game will launch digitally on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 (PS4), PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. A physical edition will also be available day one for consoles with pre-orders opening up soon.

Core Keeper is currently available in Early Access on PC via Humble Bundle and Steam for $15.99.

Fireshine Games is a global publisher of digital and physical video games. Based in London, England, the 2014 established company originally operated under the Sold Out label. In March 2022, Sold Out rebranded itself as Fireshine Games. The updated brand name that better suited the company moving forward since digital games have a difficult time being sold out.

Pugstorm

Pugstorm is a game development studio that specializes in pixel art games. Based in Sweden, the 2016 founded studio won a prize for their concept behind Radical Rabbit Stew. The studio went on to form a publishing deal with the then Sold Out, now Fireshine Games, to finalize and release the game. Currently the studio is busy working on their second title, Core Keeper.
