Hooded Horse and Australian developer Stutter Fox Studios have revealed the new Sukula-class barge for their space RTS Falling Frontier. This new ship is the first of more to come from the studio’s recently hired full-time artist.
Aleksandre Lortkipanidze, Stutter Fox Studios’ new full-time artist is behind Falling Frontier‘s Sukula-class barge visuals. A trailer has been released showing off this mining barge that will be used as part of the game’s resource collection mechanics. Other versions of the Sukula-class will also be found in the game serving other logistical functions.
Besides showing off the new Sukula-class, the trailer highlights other game developments including a UI revision. New mechanics have been added in the form of a tactical waypoint system, obstacle avoidance, and collisions.
The Sukula-class will not be the only ship deployed in the Falling Frontier final build. Many new ships and revised models are planned. Seen in past videos, the Hazo-class destroyer is the next ship the team is working on. More ship models will be revealed in the coming months.
To gain a better idea of Lortkipanidze’s artistic style, his previous work can be seen in his profile on ArtStation.
Falling Frontier is planned for an Early Access release later this year on Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store. Interested players can add the game to their wishlists now. For more information, visit the game’s product pages.
