Rogue Games and developer David Marquardt Studios have released their twin-stick shooter, Dust & Neon, on PC and Nintendo Switch. The post-apocalyptic Wild West action game features roguelite RPG progression and wagon-loads of loot.
As a mysterious cyborg gunslinger with no name, players set out to make their mark in a robot apocalypse version of the Wild West. No matter the weapon, revolver, shotgun, or rifle, perfect timing of shots is needed to shred through metal armies. Waiting to reload empty gun chambers at the right time is critical with the game’s distinct reloading mechanic.
Dozens of sharpshooting skills and game-changing buffs can be unlocked. Players can choose their favorite shooting weapon from over two-thousand available guns such as Furious Dual Barrel Embrace of Death or the Frenetic Top Loaded Twenty-Two. Build-up an arsenal and get ready to turn some metal-heads into scrap.
We’ve got a fun storyline and a badass hero. We’ve got twitch precision controls and a super innovative ammunition reload system. We’ve got a 15-hour-plus campaign full of robots and boss fights and overflowing with weapons and upgrades. For all of these reasons and many more, we think Dust & Neon is a best-in-class rogue-lite looter shooter.
Matt Casamassina, Founder and CEO, Rogue Games
In December of last year, Matt Casamassina and Craig Harris, CEO and Sr. Design Manager of Rogue Games, sat down and explained key game elements in a game walkthrough video. Topics covered included player aim control while shooting at enemies, unique weapon reloads, enemy movement, object cover, and a most wanted board that offers various levels and objectives.
Dust & Neon is out now on PC via Humble Bundle, Steam and Epic Games and on Nintendo Switch for $29.99. During the game’s launch week, PC players who purchase the game will receive a 20% discount. Visit the game’s site for more information: rogueco.com/games/dust-neon/.
