The action-packed 2D side-scrolling cyberpunk roguelite Blade Assault, from developer Team Suneat, is heading to consoles this March via PM Studios. Both digital and physical editions of Blade Assault will be available. In January 2022, the NEOWIZ published PC version exited Early Access to full release.
Devastation ravages the world in the aftermath of the Red Stone War. Divided into three regions: the mutant-infested outside grounds, the Undercity where people seek refuge from the mutants, and the sky city of Esperanza filled with the rich elites of the world, are all that is left of the world. Players will fight against the corrupt military of Esperanza as a member of the Undercity’s resistance force. Fight alongside comrades and bring the corrupt to justice.
When the console version releases this March, it will feature all of the previously release content for the PC version. This will include three playable characters with each having their own unique signature weapons and playstyle. Enhanced weapons turn these characters into powerhouses capable of shredding through any monster that stands in their path. There are 200 different items, seven challenging bosses, and a Friendship System to develop relationships and earn rewards. Plus those who complete the game will unlock the Assault Level loaded with endless waves of hard-mode enemies.
Preorders are available for the Launch Edition. While supplies last, the Launch Edition comes with a postcard and sticker sheet. Physical versions of Blade Assault will be available at major retailers. Blade Assault will blast its way to consoles on March 31, 2023 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
Blade Assault is available now on Windows PC through Humble Bundle and Steam for $17.99. Visit the game’s product pages for additional information.
