Toplitz Productions, under the SunDust Games label along with PRODUKTIVKELLER Studios have released their co-operative rhythm game, Disaster Band, exclusively on Steam.
Strike up the music, the Disaster Band has begun. Play solo or connect with friends and form a band. To get the party started, players will just need to pick a track, choose an instrument, and start playing.
Since the game’s December 20, 2022, launch on Steam, Disaster Band, has gathered over 100 reviews with 88% of them being positive. The controls are intuitive for both mouse or gamepad, making this the perfect game for anyone to pick up and play. All of the instruments included: violin, violoncello, trombone and flute, can be played on any given track.
Players can party up with friends online to perform together. Or players may opt to join complete strangers online and hold their own jam session.
As a player improves, they will climb higher in the global rankings. Rise to the top or plummet to the bottom and become the ultimate disaster. Note that there is nothing wrong with playing wrong. Players have the creative freedom to play any note at any time. This allows for practice and improvisation in every song as one explores the music.
No matter the note played, Disaster Band‘s dynamic sound engine makes playing the wrong notes a fun adventure. Steam Workshop support is available to expand one’s musical journey. Players can create their own tracks and share them with the community. One can also import other players’ songs for play.
