Coffee Stain Publishing and Vaulted Sky Games today released The Halloween Update for their multiplayer hide-and-seek prop game, Midnight Ghost Hunt.
Also known as Update 3, many new spooky treats have arrived in Midnight Ghost Hunt just in time for Halloween. All the maps and the van have been decorated for the Halloween season.
Three new Halloween themed Hero Props are available. The Chomping Pumpkin who is ready to take a bite out of hunters while the Witch Doll uses a broom to take out the hunter trash. Unlike the regular Jack-in-the-box who uses a hammer, the Pumpkin Jack-in-the-box will launch some pumpkin guts at hunters.
Two new skins, Pumpkin Head Ghost Skin, a spectral skin with a Jack-o’-Lantern head, and Duck Hunter Skin, a hunter skin that looks like a giant duck are available. Players can unlock two new titles: Consumed and Multi-Millionaire. Consumed requires the consumption of 250 souls via Glutton and those who have 10 million shards sitting around will get the title Multi-Millionaire.
A highly requested feature from the community, random map variations, has been added to the Mansion map. Players will see a random chance for the attic to be closed off and instead new paths will open to the all new Wine Cellar area. This new feature adds a more dynamic element to matches causing players to adjust tactics. For now the developer is trying out this feature with one variation to gain community feedback before adding more.
To get ready for Halloween, Midnight Ghost Hunt is having a 50% off discount during Steam’s Scream Fest sale. The game last saw a 50% off discount with the release of Update 2. Now is an excellent time for new players to grab a copy of the game as Midnight Ghost Hunt is also having a double shard week. Both new and existing players can get a great start on working towards the new Multi-Millionaire title.
