Solo indie developer Mircotale along with CRATR.games have released a demo for Heart of Muriet alongside their Kickstarter campaign for the voxel RTS. Team up with Elves, Dwarfs, and Mages in the demo that includes the opening three stages of the story.
A powerful band of Wizards known as the Seener, have been removed from power. Their families are being held by an opposing house. A young and powerful Seener avoided the kidnappings and is now on a quest to restore the Seener to their former glory.
Players will team up with Elves, Dwarfs, and Mages to build and manage settlements. Powerful magic will need to be researched for battlefield. Combat takes form in tense company-based warfare battle.
Gameplay favors grand strategy over micromanagement. Only by combining troop management, research progression, and base building will players be able to overcome the game’s single player campaign and restore the Seener to their rightful place.
The Kickstarter for the real-time strategy has just begun and will run until September 25, 2022. Currently about 10% of the €22,500 or roughly $22,300 in US dollars goal has been pledged by 45 backers.
Heart of Muriet is planned for an Early Access release on Steam in 2023. The Heart of Muriet demo is available on Steam until September 26, 2022.
