Today at the Nintendo Indie World showcase, the upcoming story-driven action RPG, Batora: Lost Haven was featured along with a special announcement. Team17 and developer Stormind Games are happy to share with players that Batora: Lost Haven is going to launch this fall.
This upcoming sci-fi adventure and brand new IP from Stormind Games features deep hack-and-slash and twin-stick shooter combat style action. Combat action is both fast and frenetic. Battles are multi-layered featuring fantastic creatures and alien foes. Nature Switch is a unique mechanic allowing players to balance both their mental and physical powers to solve environmental challenges and overcome hostile threats.
In addition to fast combat action the game includes a rich narrative story along with colorful and diverse alien landscapes with 1950’s science fiction inspired hand-painted visuals.
As the Earth’s only hope after a catastrophic disaster destroyed most of the world, 16-year-old Avril will become an unlikely hero. She herself not only witnessed this destructive event, but also the death of her older sister Rose.
Together with her best friend Mila, Avril has discovered two amulets, connected to the Sun and Moon. Now aware of two unknown entities, Avril begins a quest to restore the Earth. The sci-fi journey takes place across the cosmos where strange alien worlds are explored and a variety of unique beings are met. Only by discovering secrets can these two can possibly save the dying Earth and forever impact the fate of the universe and all those who live in it.
Batora: Lost Haven will be released on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S in fall 2022. PC users can wishlist the game on Steam.
