Independent game developer Torn Banner Studios has made Chivalry 2 free to download and play this weekend on PC through the Epic Games Store. The Tripwire Presents and Deep Silver published title is also running a 33% discount during the free to play weekend event.
This free Chivalry 2 weekend event follows the recent release of the Chivalry 2: House Aberfell update. In this update the new 64-player team objective map, The Raid of Aberfell, along with new playable Druids, the Highland Sword weapon, and a variety of new gameplay mechanics were added. Plus players can use weaponized bees to sting their foes to death with area of effect damage.
Since release, Chivalry 2 has received many accolades including awards for Best Multiplayer Game of 2021 from PC Gamer and Windows Central, and on of the Top Games of the Year from ComicBook.com. Many of the awards are highlighted in the recent GOTY Trailer.
The Chivalry 2 free weekend event started 11AM EST on March 17, 2022 and is scheduled to end on March 21, 2022, at 11AM EST. Players have until March 23, 2022 to purchase the game with the 33% off discount.
Chivalry 2 is available on Windows PC from Humble Bundle or Epic Games Store for $39.99 USD. The game is also available on the PlayStation Store for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 consoles and from Microsoft for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles for $39.99 USD. A Chivalry 2 Special Edition that includes exclusive in-game content is also available for $49.99 USD.
