Toplitz Productions and developer Family Devs announced that their open-ended country-life RPG Harvest Days is now out in pre-alpha for Kickstarter backers. This release allows players to dive into the game early, provide valuable feedback, and become a part of the game’s development process.
Taking inspiration from by Stardew Valley, Harvest Moon, and Story of Seasons, the game allows players to create a farm of their dreams, build relationships, and explore an open 3D world full of places. By whisking away players from the urban grind, the country life gives them an opportunity to enjoy the charming open plains.
Located in Duda’s Village, players find themselves the owner of a farm plot in the same village where their grandparents reside. After a recent rural exodus the village is in need to help. Using some tools, a few coins, and some old fashioned hard work players might be able to restore the village to its former glory while building wonderful relationships with those in the community.
When one is done with their farm chores there are other opportunities available. Fishing at the lake, chatting with neighbors, or exploring the world on horseback are just a few of the options. A natural cave full of minerals, a ruined mystical temple, and a bubbling swap are awaiting the adventurous types. Buying, selling, and trading goods allows players to not only invest in their farm, but their community. With a little time and effort this rural farm home can become one’s paradise.
The Kickstarter for Harvest Days officially kicked-off on August 31, 2021 and concluded on Thursday, September 30, 2021. At the end of the campaign 542 backers pledged €18,842 or roughly $21,200 USD. This funding level also includes the first stretch goal of minigames.
Harvest Days is planned for a Q2 2022 early access release and a Q4 2022 final release on Steam. Pre-alpha backers for Harvest Days should be receiving their keys now via email. Non-backers can purchase PC pre-alpha access from the game’s website for $34.99 USD. Players can add the game to their Steam wishlist now.
