Tripwire Interactive is getting into the holiday spirit with the Chop ‘Til You Drop update for their first-person shooter Killing Floor 2. Now available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S the update allows players to get their zed kills in full holiday fashion.
Carillon Hamlet is a brand new medium-sized map in the update. Featuring an industrial style with a bright daytime setting players can bask in the holiday feel as they wipe out the zed threat. This map supports Survival, Weekly, and Endless modes. Five new event objectives are tied to this map where players can earn the Holiday Shopping Companion Backpack accessory.
While on the topic of cosmetic items new bundles packs are available to purchase. The Alchemist Weapon Skin Bundle Pack, Christmas Weapon Skin Bundle Pack, and Alchemist Gear Cosmetic Bundle Pack are now available along with the Chop ‘Til You Drop themed cosmetics purchasable via the Direct Bundle. A Holiday Shopper Outfit Bundle features a new Christmas 2021 outfit and is compatible with the following characters: Mr. Foster, Reverend Alberts, Mrs. Foster, PC Rob Briar, Classic Briar, Oisten Jagerhorn, Ana Larive, Lt. Bill Masterson, Classic Masterson, Donovan Neal, DJ Scull, Anton Strasser, Hayato Tanaka, Rae Higgins.
The update itself includes new weekly game modes. Boss Rush offers different waves of fighting with one boss and difficulty scaling for each wave. Players who complete Boss Rush are rewarded with the Boss Trophy Backpack accessory. Shrunken Heads features zeds with tiny heads and no head-shot damage. A new critical spot, unique to each zed type, forces players to enhance their sharpshooter skills and are rewarded with the Practice Target backpack accessory when completed.
Doshinegun is a cash bash DLC weapon designed for the Survivalist Perk and features five skin variants. A free HRG Stunner weapon that packs a punch is available for the SWAT class players. This free weapon is shockingly strong with plenty of stopping power to keep waves of zed away.
This update features several new Steam achievements related to Carillon Hamlet. Several balancing changes, bug fixes and game improvements have been included in this update. A more complete list of changes in the Chop ‘Til You Drop update is available here.
Killing Floor 2 along with the Chop ‘Til You Drop update is available on Windows PC through Humble Bundle, Epic Games Store, and Steam for $29.99 USD.
