Wired Productions and cult video game developer Nosebleed Interactive announced pre-orders are available for the 1990’s management game Arcade Paradise. Besides hitting PC in spring 2022, the game is heading to consoles for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and the family of Xbox devices.
Physical edition pre-orders for Arcade Paradise are available for Nintendo Switch, PS4, and PS5. This edition features a folded double-sided poster, graffiti sticker set, reversible King Wash sleeve, and digital EP download. PlayStation editions are priced at £19.99 or $26.48 USD while the Nintendo Switch Edition is priced at £24.99 or $33.10 USD on the Wired Store.
Along with the pre-order announcement comes a brand new trailer. Presented as a comically over-the-top local business commercial, the trailer showcases some of the 35 different arcade games available for the arcade. Located at the rear of the King Wash laundromat, Arcade Paradise offers all the 1990’s arcade adventure and action one can expect to find in the heyday of beepers, answering machines, and VHS rentals.
As young charismatic Ashley, players take over their father’s self-service laundry business. The father, Gerald, who is voiced by Doug Cockle who also voiced Geralt of The Witcher series, handed her the keys while he heads for the Riviera. Tasked with the day-to-day chores of washing rags, Ashley decides it is time for change.
Quarters are the family business, but instead of them going into washing machines they are being dropped into arcade game slots. Building the perfect arcade requires players to play, profit and purchase one of the various 35 arcade games. By playing the games, players can set high scores and challenge customers to beat the score. Profits can be used to purchase new cabinets driving more customers to the arcade. Each of the arcade games are originals inspired by classics from the arcade era.
Arcade Paradise is heading to PC through Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG in addition to the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S in Spring 2022. More information about Arcade Paradise can be found on the publisher’s website here.
