Team17 and developer Warpzone Studios have set a release date for their dwarven mining simulation Hammerting. The game will fully launch on November 16, 2021 on PC. Along with today’s full release date announcement comes the Epic Crafting Update for early access players.
Epic crafting has arrived. Now when crafting an item there is a chance for the item to get a rarity level. Uncommon, Rare, Epic, and Mythic are the possible rarity levels that makes the item overall better and worth more coin. Armor and rings are influenced by their crafted materials. There are new rings and armors that affect their wielder in different ways. Dwarves can equip two rings and a piece of armor in addition to their toolbelt.
Lanterns can now be equipped in the toolbelt that grants a bonus to vision range and exploration. Several new lanterns have been added such as the Explorer’s Lantern. Explorers also now earn experience from exploring. They may also earn experience through harvesting and rummaging activities. Now while rummaging, Explorers can critically succeed or fail causing double or no loot to spawn.
The Epic Crafting Update has made changes to lair scaling with lairs now stronger further down one travels. Mountain Lore has been overhauled. Small Vaults have seen reduced capacity with the addition of Medium Vaults. Large Vaults have changed material costs. Several additional performance improvements, tweaks, bug fixes, and the addition of Brazilian Portuguese and Polish language support are included in this update. A more comprehensive list of changes can be found on Steam here.
Throughout Hammerting’s early access over the past ten months, there have been numerous updates. Some examples include the Overworld Update that expanded the top-side content whereas other updates like the Fluid Update unleashed a flood of changes inside the Mountains of Mara. Each update, much like the Automation Update, have pushed towards a single goal of a fully realized dwarven mining colony sim.
Hammerting is currently available as an early access game on Windows PC from Steam, Epic Games Store and Humble Bundle for $24.99 USD. The full PC launch is scheduled for November 16, 2021. For more information about Hammerting follow @hammerting on Twitter or visit hammerting.com.
