Team17 and developer Wonderscope Games are growing some new content in the Farming Update for their cozy community sim Hokko Life. A brand new farming area along with dozens of crops are now ready for planting in the early access game. Plus there are new crafting recipes, Farming Update trailer, and an Early Access Roadmap.
Since the June launch of Hokko Life there have been several small updates and now players get to see a large content update with the Farming Update. A new villager has arrived in town named Aubrey who sells seeds, crafting recipes, and a variety of farming equipment. To grow crops players will need to clear a new farming area of its debris and overgrowth.
There are a total of 24 different crops to sow, grow, and harvest. Carrots, onions, tomatoes, strawberries, and watermelons are just some of the crops available. Successfully grown crops can be exchanged for prepared food from the village innkeeper or donated to the townsfolk. A brief trailer of the crops and farming area in the Farming Update is viewable below.
The update patch includes a wide range of bug fixes and other additions. Storage items and blueprints are available giving players some inventory relief. Some recipes have been adjusted such as the Silver Pickaxe now requiring silver bars instead of silver ore. Several lighting adjustments have been made to address various lighting issues with objects and performance issues. A more complete list of changes in the Hokko Life Farming Update can be found on Steam here.
Along with the Farming Update, Wonderscope Games released an updated Early Access Roadmap. Farming and Storage are now live. Content players can expect in the future include Super Shopping, Mayor Merits, Village Chic, Bug Bonanza, and Desert Island Distractions.
