Nimble Giant Entertainment fully released their time-paradox multiplayer arena shooter, Quantum League, on Steam today. After almost a year in early access, players join the action where their teammates are themselves.
Unlike other arena shooters, Quantum League is an original IP from the developer and features an innovative time-paradox mechanic. Players battle against other players inside of a time loop where each round players are able to team up with their past selves in 1v1 and 2v2 PvP matches. The time loop mechanic also forces players to think outside of the standard online FPS paradigm where they will need to think ahead in an effort to outsmart their opponents by changing the course of time.
The way the match plays is very different than other arena shooters. Each pass through the time loop will also include all previous versions of the player performing their previous actions again. This creates a form of multiplayer self-cooperation. Every pass through the time loop gives players more information where they can utilize this knowledge to change the timeline and score.
One interesting feature of the time loop is death is not the end. In future loops players are effectively desynced from the timeline and invisible from their opponent. The player has a chance to come up with strategies to record their potential future actions that will prevent their death in future loops.
We’re thrilled to be leaving Early Access and launching Quantum League on Steam for PC, the community has been a huge driving force in shaping this game into the shooter it has become. We set out to deliver a unique fast-paced shooter that was innovative but also brought new ideas for players to enjoy, today we achieved that and I couldn’t be happier.

During the Quantum League early access phase the developer took in player feedback growing the game into a sophisticated title. New content such as arenas, outfits, and customization options were added along with refining the unique time loop mechanic. Weapon balance and feel with true ADS were addressed. Game modes such as domination found way into the game. Unique time-bending abilities for each character were integrated giving the game a smooth gameplay experience.
With today’s full launch comes a brand new map, Nordic. On this snow covered map there are multiple levels for players to engage in strategic multi-level combat as they look to score.
Quantum League is available on PC through Steam for $9.99 USD. A full release launch promotion that offers a 50% off discount is available until April 22, 2021. A Nimble Giant bundle that offers both Quantum League and the recently released Hellbound at the massively discounted price of $15.98 USD for a limited time.
