It’s time for some holiday seasonal fear from Tripwire Interactive in the form appropriately themed zeds in Killing Floor 2 with Christmas Crackdown. The annual holiday event is now live on PC and consoles with a new map, two new weapons, loads of cosmetics and all the glorious gore covered in tree lights one can desire.
Elysium, the new community map, is brought front and center to this year’s holiday slay ride. The map supports several modes including endless, weekly, and survival. With the release of Elysium also comes several map related achievements.
Two new weapons gift player new means of disposing those holiday crashing zeds. A new HRG weapon, the HRG Vampire, brings the right amount of energy for Field Medics to light up zeds with lots of holiday smear. As in the zeds are drained of their blood and exploded. The other weapon is the Frost Shotgun Axe which is a shotgun axe. Slice, chop and blast are all wonderful options with this new toy available for Supports and Berserkers.
In addition the previously mentioned are several new cosmetic packs and bundles plus time-limited objectives, tickets, and cosmetics. Players can complete all seasonal objectives to earn the Tactical Elf-pack. A full list of changes is available here.
Killing Floor 2 is available on Humble Bundle, Epic Games Store, and Steam for PC at a regular price of $29.99 USD. The game is also available on console for PS4 and Xbox One.
