Ronimo Games and publisher Devolver Digital has stuffed several changes in the Arcane Glamour Update for their early access multiplayer co-op dungeon crawler Blightbound. This update gives players an extra helping of additions and improvements ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States.
The Arcane Glamour update for Blightbound is officially listed as 0.5 in the patch notes. This update follows the Helping Hands Update that came out this past September where bots were introduced to help fill out one’s party during those off hours. As the fourth major update following the early access release of the dark fantasy adventure this patch is the largest yet adding even more prestige to the character ranks, despicable random new foes and significant gameplay features.
Roland of Stendhall is a new playable hero. He is an untouchable exhibitionist on the battlefield that features both a lock-down and long distance kill ability. His absolute refusal to have the horrors of the Blight touch his perfection makes Roland a deadly new addition to the group of heroes.
Players can now select any hero before matchmaking giving more variety and tactical possibilities. An assortment of new items along with their respective recipes give players an abundance of options. Detailed hero stats now can help ensure no loot goes to waste in the effort to fortify the Refuge.
More unexplored areas await adventurers. Step into the Underhold the explore this new area and somewhere hidden in the depth lies the new and deadly boss Haäken, the jailed. Along the way players may notice changes in enemy types between runs as the encounter randomization feature is active providing every excursion with a unique challenge.
The next planned update is patch 0.6 titled Blight Smugglers. A new hero, Bu the Nimble is planned along with improved tutorials, improved menus, achievements, and more interesting low-tier items. Additional future updates with their details can be found on the game’s official roadmap here.
