Major changes are in store for What Happened, the psychological thriller that dives into the mind of a tormented teenager, with the Spooktober Update. Created by indie developer Genius Slackers and published by Katnappe and Sourena Games players both new and old have the chance to experience new endings is cinematic glory.
In this update, things get a lot scarier in the troubled mind of high school student Stiles. The are several new and secret game endings. All of the secret endings are there for those brave enough to seek them out. Additional player choices can set one down a creepy gameplay experience. New Easter Eggs and creepy achievements have also been added in the update.
At the moment one would least expect it an epic boss fight will appear in game with the update. As the story unfolds new multiple choices and surprises upset the previously linear path. New levels have been designed taking into account most of the player feedback received since the game’s launch this past July. While addressing design changes, the developers also made effort to fix issues such as motion-sickness and light pollution. Plus there is some Halloween themed content now in game too.
The updated and improved experience continues the exploration mature themes taking players on a drug-fueled psychological roller coaster in the mind of Stiles. Haunted by both real and imagined demons, the outcome of this first-person journey will ultimately depend upon the player’s empathy for Stiles’ pain. In the end will players be able to steer him away from self-destruction?
What Happened is available on PC through Steam and Humble Bundle for $24.99 USD. Until November 2, 2020 a 30% off sale runs on Steam. A console release for What Happened is expected at a later date.
