Indie developer Get Up Games and publisher Iceberg Interactive have sailed their early access pirate battle royale, Blazing Sails, straight into scary waters with the Halloween Update. All of the fast-paced PvP action on the dangerous high seas now can venture into Kraken Keep.
In the first major update since the early access launch in September, Kraken Keep takes players to a huge new island that is actually alive. Shrouded in thick fog during both night and day, the island area makes sea battles even more intense. Those that work hard and together for victory can unlock new creepy exclusive cosmetics for their character.
For those unfamiliar with Blazing Sails the game features a mix of dry land and naval combat against enemy crews. Supplies, weapons, and upgrades can be looted from the surrounding islands. Playstyle changes with the types of weapons one loots. Being sneaky is just one strategy where players can sneak aboard an enemy vessel, remove their cork, and steal a victory. Until their ship is sunk, players will continue to respawn which encourages strategic aggressive gameplay.
Players have access to a fully customizable character and a pirate ship so they can enter the intense melee and ranged combat on land and sea. The game can be played on public and private servers and the last ship afloat wins.
