Developer Iron Mountain Interactive along with publisher Oasis Games has released their futuristic team sports game Steel Circus into Early Access.
Set in the year 2350 where the various factions in the solar system have finally formed a peace agreement the Steel Circus helps to ensure the peace. Each year the powerful members of the Solar Council meet to discuss politics and stave off another long period of open conflict while the best and brightest fight as champions for glory in the Steel Circus to roaring crowds.
Steel Circus has came a long way from its closed Alpha and Beta days with the Early Access release. In the release players can jump right into the game with six available champions. Each has their own distinct skills and role.
Two futurist arenas are available in Early Access that features a variety of environmental gameplay. Moving forward in the Early Access phase the developer has plans for regular updates that includes introducing additional champions, arenas, customizations, and balancing adjustments.
Gameplay is straight forward in the 3v3 team environment. Players pass, tackle, and shoot the ball to score a goal. A little bit of tactical strategy also helps out. In the end highest score wins.
Steel Circus is available as a free-to-play game on Steam. Cosmetic upgrades can be purchased that offer no competitive advantage and there are no loot boxes. Every champion can eventually be unlocked through gameplay for free. Those who wish to immediately unlock all available champions can purchase the All Champions Pack for $19.99 USD.
