Ronimo Games and publisher Devolver Digital has released the Wolfpack Update to the dark and stylish early access multiplayer dungeon crawler Blightbound. Included in this update is a new Underhold dungeon and two more heroes.
The Wolfpack Update or Update 0.3 is the second update following the early access release and follows a similar path of the first update. In Khuliath Rising, Update 0.2, the Blood Ridge Dungeon, Khuliath boss, Ezzouhn hero and Nilbous Flann hero were introduced.
A new subterranean dungeon deep within the Underhold lies The Creeping Blight. This is a dangerous passage that only the brave dare enter. The area is littered with new elite champions of the Blight. Shellrot, Coward Osmund, and Havern The Deserter are among these elites whom are all under the command of the familiar foe Byrinth.
New heroes can be rescued to help boost the ranks of the Refuge with the addition of Wodania and her son Karrogh. Wodania is the blind Matriarch that uses Smokebomb to grant brief camouflage to the party and uses Lightning Strikes and Fan of Knives to cut down enemies. Karrogh, known as the Fearless Wolf, can charge into battle giving allies strength with his Warcray and unleash his powerful Lawbringer.
Several new items can be looted from the depth such as Dokalt’s Ring, a Wooden Idol, and Sun’s Restoration. Heroes will need to find and equip them to learn their secrets. With the update there are also several bug fixes, gameplay changes and other quality of life improvements. A more complete list of changes can be found here.
During the early access period Blightbound will continually grow and expand with more places to explore, new heroes to meet and enemies to defeat. According to the roadmap on the game’s website Update 0.4 will add bot support, a new hero and additional language localizations. Update 0.5 will feature an additional dungeon, hero and more enemies. Several other features are listed in future updates beyond include achievements, new artisan, curses, enemy types and more.
