Get ready, space adventurers: Moonshot Games, a Dreamhaven studio, just unveiled Wildgate, a crew-based first-person shooter that’s taking tactical spaceship combat to the cosmic edge. Revealed at the Dreamhaven Showcase during The Game Awards, this chaos-filled multiplayer adventure launches on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in 2025. Team Up and Take On the Reach
Wildgate drops you into the boots of a “Prospector,” teaming up with a small crew to chase an ancient relic hidden in a hostile, unpredictable space frontier simply known as the Artifact. Pilot your ship, plunder wreckage, and outsmart rivals to snag the prize. Victory is yours if you can escape with the Artifact through the exit point or blast every rival crew into stardust.
“Wildgate was designed for anyone that’s ever wanted to go on a daring space adventure alongside a fearless crew,” said Jason Chayes, studio head of Moonshot Games. “Players are invited to work together and confront evolving cosmic threats – whether they’re mysterious hazards of the Reach – or presented by rival Prospectors. We’re counting on you to bring your best-laid plans… and hey, even if they don’t pan out for the win, we’ve found that some of our favorite experiences are the ones we least expect.”
With procedurally generated maps shifting every match, no two adventures are the same.
“Wildgate rewards cooperation and tactical mastery,” says Dreamhaven CEO Mike Morhaime, promising epic memories and moments amid the chaos of ship-vs-ship showdowns. Blast rivals with high-tech cannons, lure them into traps, or sabotage their rigs and be sure to watch your own back.
