Indie video game and interactive movie developer and publisher Wales Interactive have released the free Tides of Terror DLC update for their co-op zombie survival FPS Sker Ritual. The update is now live on all supported platforms.
Tides of Terror heads to the cursed shores of Sker Beach. Centuries of shipwrecks litter the landscape. The island had been rumored to be haunted is now occupied by unforgiving forces from the sea. Previously, the island had been the site of grotesque experiments led by Elisabeth Williams. Now the infected ruins and hostile waters house dark secrets and mutated creatures waiting for the unsuspecting traveler.
Navigate the treacherous terrain and uncover the wreckage of the failed experiments. Be ready to defend against sea-born monsters. Crabs have been mutated by the island’s curse and are now relentless hunters. A new mini-boss, Lord of the Squids, commands the ocean’s forces and can pull the tides to his advantage, drowning all who stand in his way.
Y Cracen is a new colossal main boss. This colossal sea creature has immense power and rises from the depths ready to end a player’s existence.
Use new weapons to blast back the sea monster threat. Maelstrom is a new fisherman’s minigun that features deadly firepower in close-medium combat and excels at wiping out waves of creepy crabs. Inspired by the classic blunderbuss, the Auto Blunder is an automatic shotgun that becomes the Tidebreaker at Tier 3 and is capable of unleashing massive damage.
To further help mow down enemies is the new More Gun perk. This perk enables an additional weapon slot, giving players the ability to have three weapons in battle. The perk also boosts ammo capacity by 5% and further increases with each level.
With new weapons and a perk for players, the newest monsters in Tides of Terror are waiting at Sker Beach.
Sker Ritual Availability
The Sker Ritual Tides of Terror free DLC update is now live on Steam and Epic Games for Windows PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Sker Ritual is available via Steam and Epic Games Store for Windows PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S from their respective stores for $24.99 / £19.99. Additionally, a Digital Deluxe version is available featuring the game and four cosmetic DLCs for $34.99 / £29.99. A PlayStation 5 Sker Ritual physical edition is available on The Game Collection website for £24.95.
A Sker Ritual demo is available on Steam. Note that the game features a mature content warning with the developers describing the game as having violence, blood, and minor gore that may not be suitable for all ages.
