The medieval fantasy life adventure RPG sim, Mirthwood, from V Publishing and developer Bad Ridge Games has been delayed until November 6, 2024. Originally the game had been set to release on September 11, 2024.
In a message posted on the game’s Steam page, Daron and Brian of Bad Ridge Games explained the reasoning for the delay. The small development team felt that there were key areas such as performance optimization and localization along with some of the systems that need more work and attention before launch.
While the developer is aware that this is disappointing news, players will want to join the Mirthwood Discord to find out details about upcoming Beta weekends. These will allow players to see what the team is working on ahead of the new November release date.
To accommodate the new release date, an updated roadmap with the new timeline has been posted to the Mirthwood Discord. The roadmap covers development plans following the game launch through Q2 2025. Previously, Nano Gaming News explored the co-op multiplayer aspect of Mirthwood’s development roadmap.
