Publisher Whitethron Games and solo developer sKaule have released the Metroidvania-lite meets cooking game, Magical Delicacy, on Nintendo Switch. The charming world of magic, mystery, and delicacies had already released on PC, Xbox, and Xbox Game Pass last month.
Travel to the adventurer’s seaside town of Grat while playing as as a young witch named Flora. Upon arriving in town, Flora sets up a shop to cook meals and brew potions with a goal of developing her magical skills to become a full-fledged witch.
Quirky characters such as charming locals, mysterious travelers, legendary figures, and masters of their craft fill the town. Fulfill their orders, discover their stories and learn all the town’s secrets.
Various shops around town supply some ingredients. Forage around the area for additional ingredients or grow them in the garden. Use a variety of tools in the kitchen to cook magical dishes. Afterwards, deliver the delicious delicacies to hungry townsfolk. Create additional dishes by purchasing new equipment and upgrading the kitchen.
Complete customer orders by using an extensive cooking system that allows for both flexible and creative choice. Every dish presents an opportunity to experience this unique magical culinary world.
Inspiration for Magical Delicacy comes from Metroidvanias and cozy anime classics such as Kiki’s Delivery Service. This 2D non-violent wholesome adventure is set in an enchanting pixel art world and features a variety of accessibility features.

Magical Delicacy is currently available on Windows PC via Steam, and on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S for $24.99. The game is also be available on Xbox Game Pass.
