V Publishing and developer Bad Ridge Games have revealed post-launch plans that includes multiplayer support for their upcoming medieval fantasy life adventure sim, Mirthwood. Co-op multiplayer, free content, DLC, and modding support all a part of post-launch plans.
After Mirthwood launches on PC this September, players will be delighted to know that the developers will be busy working on a range of content. Planned for a 2025 release in co-op multiplayer. Players will be able to join forces with their family and friends to explore and play together. Both online and local multiplayer support will be available.
After receiving feedback from the game’s demo, the developers will support modding on PC after launch. The addition of modding support will allow the community to contribute their unique ideas and creations, expanding gameplay possibilities within the game world for all.
Families are planned for a free content update. Children and families will become a part of a family dynamics system, enabling players to nurture and grow their in-game families. Players can have children with their in-game spouse and begin a dynasty in this medieval world.
Festivals will be in the game at launch with more to come in the future. A thrilling jousting event will be the first festival that will include excitement and camaraderie. More festivals, special activities, and quests will be added for free for players in the future. Note that some festivals may only happen during specific times during the in-game year.
Seasonal content is planned, allowing Mirthwood to embrace the various seasons. Planned seasonal updates include Halloween and Christmas-themed events with exclusive activities and rewards.
Looking beyond, players can expect a variety of new decorations, items, quests, and events. The goal is to enrich the game’s ever-expanding universe. Combat improvements are also instore with plans to introduce more weapons and enemies.
Both free and paid content updates are planned for the months following the game’s release. Features such as bug catching, world events, quests, and a museum are planned. Plus there is a treasure chest full of things yet to be revealed. The development team is eager to continue the game’s journey and are committed to delivering engaging content.
