Fireshine Games and Swedish game developer Pugstorm are getting ready to celebrate the Lunar New Year with a brand new Core Keeper seasonal event. Themed content and new items await discovery by players when the event launches at the end of January.
Hunt for lost red envelopes that are filled with Lucky Coins. Trade the coins for a variety of new items such as decorative Paper Lanterns, Guardian Beast Statues, Mystic Knot Tassels, and Wall Paper Lanterns. The coins can also be used to obtain the Dragon Mask, a brand new piece of headgear. Coins can also be displayed around the base.
Several fan-requested quality of life improvements are included in the update. Major changes are in store for wall and floor tiles to streamline building and customization. Chests and planter boxes are being improved. Players can expect to see additional performance optimizations. Discord users can now utilize the Rich Presence to display their current Core Keeper game activity and party size on their Discord profile.
A brand new trailer is available on the Core Keeper YouTube channel and is also viewable below that treats viewers with a look at what is to come in the Lunar New Year event. Viewers who watch the whole video may catch an early tease at a brand new boss that will come in the 1.0 launch release.
The Core Keeper Luna New Year celebration and seasonal event kicks off in-game on January 31, 2024 and will run until February 13, 2024.
Core Keeper Availability
Early Access for Core Keeper will end with the 1.0 update in summer 2024. With the 1.0 release update, the game will launch digitally on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 (PS4), PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. A physical edition will also be available day one for consoles with pre-orders opening up soon.
Core Keeper is currently available in Early Access on PC via Humble Bundle and Steam for $15.99. During Early Access, the game has sold over 2 million copies on Steam. The 1-8 player mining and crafting sandbox adventure where choices shape the journey received the Best Social Game award at the 2022 TIGA Awards and was nominated for Best Early Access Launch at the 2022 Golden Joystick Awards.

Fireshine Games is a global publisher of digital and physical video games. Based in London, England, the 2014 established company originally operated under the Sold Out label. In March 2022, Sold Out rebranded itself as Fireshine Games. The updated brand name that better suited the company moving forward since digital games have a difficult time being sold out.
Pugstorm
Pugstorm is a game development studio that specializes in pixel art games. Based in Sweden, the 2016 founded studio won a prize for their concept behind Radical Rabbit Stew. The studio went on to form a publishing deal with the then Sold Out, now Fireshine Games, to finalize and release the game. Currently the studio is busy working on their second title, Core Keeper.
