Wreck Tangle Games has announced Quintus and the Formidable Curse, the sequel to Quintus and the Absent Truth. The sequel continues the journey of the man and mouse duo, Alan and Quintus, on their horror-adventure.
Every element of the sequel, according to the developer, is promised to be bigger and better. The unique visual art style from the original title carries over with more detailed graphics and enhanced colors.
Similar to the first game, there will be many puzzles throughout that require players to jump between being human and being a mouse. In the original these were introduced as separate levels or scenes. The sequel allows players to switch when they deem necessary.
Quintus is no longer the only mouse in the story. There are now four additional mouse friends to help out on the duo’s travels. Each new mouse is connected with a natural element that can be used for various puzzles throughout the game. This addition allows for more complex puzzles that require additional thought to solve.
A new combat system is being introduced into the game. With a darker plot and dangers ahead, there are times where Alan may have to fight his way through certain areas. Using any item available, players will need to be ready to deal with any enemies who may be lurking. In later areas, Alan can ask for help from his mouse friends.
