Top Hat Studios and developer Shotgun Anaconda are extending their ramen rampaging platforming title, Velocity Noodle to consoles. The previously released on PC precision platformer is now available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and the Xbox family of consoles.
Since the release of Velocity Noodle on PC, the game has been well received with 95% positive rating on Steam. The console releases features a wealth of new content including level packs, artwork updates, and quality of life upgrades. All of these additions are being mirrored as a free upgrade in the PC version.
Gameplay takes place in a neon-filled pixel world where players traverse through challenging handcrafted stages. The goal is to make the noodle delivery in the fastest time possible. Since time is involved, Velocity Noodle is a speedrunner’s paradise with a banger soundtrack.
Ultra-smooth movement is the key. By combining different mechanics such as sliding, teleporting, and katana-jumping to break the levels, players can find the fastest way possible to get the ramen delivered. Watch out for the A.D.S., the Anti Delivery Service, who is ready to stop all food deliveries. Excellent gameplay is rewarded with medals that may unlock some shinny stuff.
