Fireshine Games and developer Ember Paw Games are inviting players to jump into the Open Alpha of their Viking roguelite shooter, Odinfall. The Open Alpha is available for a limited time with the game launching later this summer on Steam.
Get a taste of the twin-stick action in Odinfall during the this Open Alpha testing period. Players can their the first steps in preventing Odin from starting a second ragnarok. After all, surviving the first one was hard enough.
Set in a post-apocalyptic world, players can wreak havoc and vengeance as one of many playable characters. From the god-punching Cyberserker to dual-wielding guns twice the size of a manic Gun Gnome, there are plenty of ways to fight back against Odin. A huge assortment of outrageous weapons with endless modifications for customization are ready to beat down the second apocalypse.
Travel across the desolates wastes take players through procedurally-generated runs. Each route is unique with destructible levels and features crazed AI robot gods. Plus there is a huge Viking Moose players can use to stampede their foes. So really, does Odin stand a chance?
Odinfall Alpha and Release Details
Open Alpha access is available on the Odinfall Steam page. Players will need to request access and then download the game in order to play. The Open Alpha will run until May 3, 2023. Prior to the Open Alpha, the publisher and developer hosted an Odinfall Closed Alpha test where those who signed up were granted access.

Fireshine Games (@FireshineGames Twitter, YouTube) is a global publisher of digital and physical video games. Based in London, England, the 2014 established company originally operated under the Sold Out label. In March 2022, Sold Out rebranded itself as Fireshine Games. The updated brand name that better suited the company moving forward since digital games have a difficult time being sold out.
Ember Paw Games (@EmberPawGames Twitter, YouTube) is an indie game studio based in Skövde, Sweden. The studio wants to create colorful and chunky games for players to enjoy.
