Midnight Ghost Hunt One Year Anniversary, Free Weekend Event

Coffee Stain Publishing and Vaulted Sky Games are celebrating the one year anniversary of the Early Access launch of Midnight Ghost Hunt. To celebrate this occasion, the ghost-filled multiplayer hide-and-seek prop hunt game is receiving its seventh update named the Anniversary Update.

Dedicated servers have arrived in Midnight Ghost Hunt. The first-pass implementation for dedicated servers is now live. Players can play on either user-downloaded and configured dedicated servers or on the official 24/7 dedicated servers. Peer to peer is still an option, however dedicated servers provide more stability and improved performance.

There are two categories of dedicated servers: user hosted and official. The official dedicated servers are run by the developers and are available in three regions: US West, US East, and Europe. An Asia region is hopefully coming soon. User hosted servers can be hosted on any Windows system. Server operators can set a server name, password, and some custom game settings. In the future players will be able to rent a server directly from Nitrado.

The Midnight Ghost Hunt Anniversary Update features new weapon and gadget skins, plus two new player skins. Be careful of those yummy snacks as Grenades now appear as explosive cupcakes. Ghosts will want to watch out for the C4 present as opening comes with an explosive risk. For hunters the new Disruptor Hunter skin is stylish and designed to strike fear into all ghosts. However, the Returned Ghost skin offers a hauntingly realistic spectral appearance of a recently deceased hunter.

Who wants cake? The Anniversary Update is getting the party started with a new Chompkin Birthday Cake that takes a bite out of the player. All of the maps and the van are decked out in celebratory fashion as well.

Ghostwood Empire, the dui behind the Midnight Ghost Hunt Soundtrack, are releasing the game’s soundtrack digitally on most platforms. Listeners can find it on Spotify, Tidal, Apple Music, and more. The soundtrack consists of 11 tracks. Additionally, on the game’s Steam page the soundtrack is available with some exclusive editions making this digital release slightly different.

To further celebrate the one year anniversary, Midnight Ghost Hunt is offering a Free Weekend and a huge 66% off sale. The free weekend event runs from March 30 to April 3, 2023. As another bonus for all new players and longtime supporters, there will be double Ghost Shard drops starting on March 30 and lasting until April 6.

Midnight Ghost Hunt is available in Early Access for Windows PC via Humble Bundle and Steam for $19.99.
