Mythargia Retro Adventure Brings Supernatural Thrills

Bonus Stage Publishing and Finnish developer RunByCoffee have released their mysterious retro adventure game, Mythargia, on PC. Supernatural thrills await on a dangerously eerie island.

Set on the abandoned island of Mythargia, players play as a journalist searching for a breakthrough story. Venturing on this island is not safe as supernatural beings and dangerous traps lurk around every corner.

By exploring the island, one can gather tools and items to help them on their journey. Documenting the effort by means of written journal entries and taken photos will help aid in understanding what has transpired on this island.

Traveling deeper into the island, a whole other dimension presents itself. Aid and assist those who inhabit the area to earn their trust and learn more about them and their history. Always keep in mind that danger is lurking everywhere and curiosity may be hazardous to one’s health. If one does survive, they just might have the story of the century.

Gameplay takes queues from retro gaming experiences and brings those elements into the modern gaming era. Full of classic pixel art and atmospheric music, players explore the world of Mythargia through a 2D side-scrolling experience. The game’s unique story unfolds and reveals itself as one crosses the damaged boundary between dimensions over and over. In a way, Mythargia has some resemblance to Pitfall, the iconic 1982 Atari title.

Mythargia is available on Windows PC via Steam for $5.99. A 10% launch discount is available on Steam until February 27, 2023.
