Team17 is developing their first VR title with the brand-new original IP and slasher comedy, Killer Frequency. Step into a 1980s mid-American town as a radio station DJ during the graveyard shift with serial killer on the loose.
Set the dial to 189.16 and listen to KFAM radio from Gallows Creek located in the mid-west of the USA. As very late night radio DJ players can try to help listeners out while they are being stalked by a mysterious masked killer. Using a variety of conversation options, players will need to carefully listen for clues and other vital information to solve puzzles around the studio preventing the callers grisly demise.
Since this is a radio station, players will need to also keep the tunes going. All the songs are inspired by the 1980s. Inside the studio building one can interact with a variety of items all authentic to the era including a working turntable and cassette player.
This unique horror-themed radio DJ experience features a fully voice-acted story with a range of personalities including the callers, potential suspects, and a charismatic producer. Built from the ground-up for the Meta 2 Quest at 72FPS the game offers a latency-free experience. Flat screen mode is also available on Steam.
Killer Frequency is heading to Windows PC via Steam and VR in 2022. Players can wishlist the game now on Steam, follow @KillerFrequency on Twitter and like @KillerFrequencyVR on Facebook.
