Welcome back to Prague, Kindred, as the Bloodhunt closed PC playtest is underway and runs through the weekend. Sharkmob, the game’s developer, is using this playtest to introduce the Ventrue clan Enforcer.
This playtest gives players a chance to experience both the solo mode and battle royale trios. New and returning players will want to check out the improved tutorial level.
Enter the Enforcer of the Ventrue clan. In a recent lore post, the developer laid out the background for the new clan and archetype. With all the events going down in Prague, members of the Ventrue clan have joined the effort at Elysium.
Enforcers are proud and obstinate. They are much needed additions to the cause on the battlefield. Their abilities allow them to temporarily turn their skin to marble becoming invulnerable. Using dash, Enforcers can quickly get right in a foes face and unleash a deadly attack eliminating the threat.
Achetype progression is a new player experience concept. The idea is to create a richer and more interesting journey for players. As one progresses they will unlock perks in each of the archetypes available. Each archetype is leveled up individually and special perks for them are unlocked. Perks range from general effects to specialized effects. A general effect example is increased load speed while an example of a specialized effect is starting with a melee weapon over a pistol.
Players can choose one perk at a time per archetype. This allows players to come up with their own strategies around the various archetypes or focus on improving their skills of a given playstyle. Experimentation is encouraged.
The playtest started at 10AM CET time today and expected to run through the weekend. Servers are set to close on March 28, 2022, at 10AM CEST which translates to 1AM PDT or 4AM EDT. A survey will be conducted by the developer to gather player thoughts. Links to the survey will be made available via Twitter and Discord.
To gain access to the Bloodhunt closed PC playtest join the game’s Discord at discord.gg/bloodhunt and join the #playtest channel. While in the channel players will need to type !keyrequest and someone will reach out to them. The developer wants to remind interested players that keys are limited.
