Good things come to those who wait and for Valheim fans the wait is over for the Frost Caves. These new dungeons will only appear in unexplored mountain biome areas. In these caves players can finally discover where the strange nocturnal fenrings live during the day. Players who dare to venture into the Frost Caves might even learn a thing or two about these creatures.
Some new enemies have appeared in the realm of Valheim. The Ulv, Cultist and Bat are all new threats to the brave Viking warriors. New crafting materials of Red Jute, Fenring Hair, and Fenring Claw offer opportunities for a new armor set and the Flesh Rippers claw weapon. These materials can also be used to create new build pieces for one’s base or home in the form of a Red Jute Carpet, Red Jute Curtain, and Standing Brazier. Lastly there is a new event “You stirred the cauldron” which will offer a new challenge for players.
The update is full of quality of life improvements. Full controller support has arrived. Piece rotation is now indicated by a more subtle build marker. A new FPS limiter setting and option can reduce GPU usage when minimized. Menu FPS is capped to 60 FPS.
