Beans: The Coffee Shop Simulator to Receive Huge Update

Whitethorn Games announced that their satirical tycoon coffee shop game, Beans: The Coffee Shop Simulator, is receiving a huge update in March. The free update titled, Beans: Fair Trade Edition, is the publisher’s way of thanking longtime fans for playing the first game the company developed.

Selling overpriced coffee is only the beginning. Players will create, manage, and customize their coffee shop while also abusing employees. As an added bonus players will watch their customers slowly lose their sanity. Besides a fresh cup of coffee, there is an epic story of greed, murder, betrayal, and redemption as players follow Ruby in her effort to win the inheritance of the Coffeebottom Estate.

With the update players will see freshly brewed new graphics. All animations, art, backgrounds, and images throughout the entire game have been replaced. Every level features a new chiptune. New cutscenes offer a fresh visual update to the game.

Gameplay level flow has seen improvements. Timing of certain events have been adjusted to make them feel more natural. The AI has seen improvements. A new Christmas level and new boss battles are in the update that also includes a massive amount of bugfixes and quality of life improvements.

The Beans: Fair Trade Edition free update is scheduled to release on March 1, 2022.

Beans: The Coffee Shop Simulator is available on PC for Windows and Mac through Humble Bundle, Steam, Itch.io for $4.99 USD. A Beans: The Coffee Shop Simulator – OST is available for $2.99 USD. The game is coming to consoles later this year. More information about Beans: The Coffee Shop Simulator is available on the game’s page on the publisher’s site here.
