Wales Interactive and Good Gate Media have announced a mid-March release date for their FMV interactive movie, Who Pressed Mute on Uncle Marcus?. The interactive whodunit is heading to PC, mobile devices, and consoles with pre-orders in early March.
Like clockwork, Abby’s mother has a family quiz on her birthday. In this longtime family tradition, the entire eccentric and rich group comes together. Abby happens to dread this tradition. Unlike previous year’s events, this one starts off with Uncle Marcus telling her that he is dying. More specific, someone in the family has poisoned him and Abby is the only one he can trust.
Time is of the essence and Abby will need to uncover the truth if she is try saving her uncle before the poison finishes him off.
We’re proud to kickstart our 2022 slate of interactive movies with WPMOUM, a quirky murder mystery, co-produced by Good Gate Media, and developed with our in-house narrative tool WIST (Wales Interactive Scripting Tool). As fans of The Office (U.S.) we couldn’t be happier to have the hilarious Andy Buckley on-board as well as some familiar FMV fan favourites from the likes of Five Dates and The Complex.

The video for Who Pressed Mute on Uncle Marcus? was shot in lockdown and filmed simultaneously in London and Los Angeles from the studios behind The Complex, Five Dates, Night Book and Bloodshore. This eccentric FMV murder mystery features a cast of known actors and actresses that includes: Andy Buckley (The Office, Jurassic World) as Uncle Marcus, Abigail Hardingham (Nina Forever, The Missing), Susannah Doyle (Black Mirror, Drop The Dead Donkey, About A Boy), Robbie Kay (Once Upon a Time, Pinocchio), Georgia Small (Five Dates) and Al Weaver (The Complex).
Who Pressed Mute on Uncle Marcus? has a release date for March 18, 2022. The will launch on Windows PC and Mac through Steam, iOS, Android, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Pre-orders will be available on March 4, and the game can now be added to one’s wishlist on Steam. More information about can be found on the game’s page on the developer’s website here.
