French independent development studio Tactical Adventures is celebrating the one year anniversary of Solasta: Crown of the Magister with the release date announcement of the Primal Calling DLC. Besides a large free content update the DLC will add Half-Orcs along with the Barbarian and Druid classes.
On October 20, 2020, the turn-based tactical RPG entered early access. Right around the corner on May 27, 2021, the game exited early access with its full 1.0 release. Since then the game’s developer has been busy with updates, vinyl disks, and community events.
The Solasta: Crown of the Magister Primal Calling DLC release date is scheduled for November 4. Two new classes: Druids and Barbarians are coming. Druids feature three subclasses: the Circle of Land, Circle of Kindred Spirit, and Circle of Winds. Barbarians also feature three subclasses: the Path of Berserker, Path of Magebane, and Path of Stone.
Besides the previously mentioned additions an original two-hour long “Wanderer” quest will be included. To coincide with the DLC release a free content update will be available. The level cap will go from 10 to 12, more character personalization options like facial paint and scars are available, and the Dungeon Maker tool has seen many upgrades and new features. A Campaign Creator will be included that allows players to bundle custom dungeons together, create custom monsters, items, NPCs, and merchants. Mac users can also get excited on November 4 when the game launches on Mac computers.
Utilizing a license granted by Wizards of the Coast to Tactical Adventures the tactical RPG adventure uses the Dungeons & Dragons SRD 5.1 content and rules.
Solasta: Crown of the Magister is available on Windows PC through Humble Bundle, Steam or GOG for $39.99 USD. A Supporter Edition is also available on Humble Bundle and Steam for $49.98 USD that includes the base game plus an environmental art pack, weapon art pack, badlands art pack, and additional dice with special FX.
