Publisher PlayWay and indie game developer Baked Games busted out a release date for their upcoming sim game Prison Simulator. As a prison guard the game challenges players with managing hardcore convicted criminals inside a prison environment.
Presented in a first-person single player view players finds themselves in the shoes of prison as a guard. Organizing daily routines, searching for contraband, counting the prisoners, sending them to work, fulling prisoner daily needs, and watching out for gang activity are just a few of the tasks players will need to address as a guard. A fine balance between the tasks of prison management and the small requests from convicts needs to be maintained. Keeping the relationship between the two sides on neutral is key as declaring for only one side will not pay the player in any way.
Life behind bars is hard and even at times brutal. As a guard, players are responsible for keeping the peace in the yard. Guard life in prisons also means always accepting new inmates, conducting cell shakedowns, confiscating contraband, monitoring the inmates, conducting surveillance and resolving conflicts.
The game has both a Free Play and Campaign modes. In Campaign mode players take on a divided time schedule with certain tasks they must perform. Free Play mode allows one the freedom to do as they please from fighting the prisoners to the other guards.
A free to play Prison Simulator Prologue is available to players that precedes the events in the main game and contains a story that is not available in the main game. Players are challenged to survive a real prison riot and deal with a very angry Warden. Each action by the player will determine if they survive as the alarms go off, shanks come out, and the attack begins.
Prison Simulator is heading to Steam with a release date launch set for November 4, 2021. Players can add Prison Simulator to their wishlist now and check out the free demo on the game’s Steam page. In addition the Prison Simulator Prologue is a free stand-alone prologue for Prison Simulator that features a prison riot. For more information about the game visit prisonsimulator.games.
