United Kingdom based Frontier Developments adds even more animal diversity to their ultimate zoo sim with the Planet Zoo: North America Animal Pack. In this new separate DLC eight highly-requested animals from the continent of North America make their Planet Zoo debut.
The Cougar, Moose, American Beaver, American Alligator, Artic Fox, American Bullfrog, Black-tailed Prairie Dog, and California Sea Lion are all eight of the animals in this new pack. To help keep these new animal additions happy and entertained five new enrichment items have been added for zookeepers that include a Beaver Pool, Skittle Feeder, and Melon Feeder. For players a new Beaver avatar costume is available.
Those who are looking for a challenge can put their zookeeping skills to the test in the Blue Ridge Mountains. This all-new timed scenario takes place in a foothill environment that educates visitors while providing large natural habitats for the animals. The previous owns ran out of money and left leaving players to complete this paradise.
With the release of the North America Animal Pack also comes Free Update 1.7 to Planet Zoo. The Underwater Herbivore Feeder is available. Swimming behaviors have been added for several big cats while minimum swimming depth requirements for several other animals have been adjusted.
Guest barriers are available at the zoo that will block both staff and guests on paths. New Animal Talk Seating can be placed at the zoo and can be linked to Animal Talk Points expanding the guest capacity of animal talks. The Free Update 1.7 includes several other changes and bug fixes with a more complete list of changes available here.
