Hammerting Automation Update Sets Carts in Motion

Team17 and developer Warpzone Studios are setting things in motion with the Automation Update for Hammerting. This update for early access dwarven mining sim allows players streamline their activities and build an efficient prosperous mining colony in the Mountains of Mara.

Efficiency is everything in the Hammerting Automation Update. Just live dwarves who pick up and deliver items, carts can now handle this task. Dwarves now will always equip the best version of an item in their tool belts and deposit unassigned carried items for future use. Vaults can be built and used to store varying amounts of gold keeping it safe for future use.

Players who are looking for platforms need to look for carts instead as platforms are now gone from the game. The Elevator Station building has been renamed as the Rail Station while the previous building known as the Rail Station has been removed or in developer terms “yeeted.” This new combined building can connect both to horizontal and vertical railways. Plus there is this new thing called the inclined railway for those who build diagonally.

A win state is now available for players. This win state is triggered by an in-game quest where players are challenged to prove their dwarven mining prowess by completing an demanding labor task. Upon completion, players will still be able to continue their colony and enjoy their mountainous retreat for as long as they desire.

This update also features a wide range of tweaks, bug fixes, and quality of life changes. For a more complete list of changes in the Hammerting Automation Update or Update 8 visit the link here.

For those unfamiliar with Hammerting, the game sets players off on an exploration, crafting, building and mining adventure both below and now above the ground where they try to build a prosperous dwarven colony.

Hammerting is available as an early access game on Windows PC from SteamEpic Games Store and Humble Bundle for $24.99 USD. Until July 7, 2021, Hammerting will feature a 33% off discount during the Steam Summer Sale.
