Indie solo game developer Frostwood Interactive and publisher Dino Digital have set a mid-April release date for their atmospheric narrative title Forgotten Fields. The game is designed to take players on a memory-filled journey back to their childhood home before it is sold off to another family.
Taking inspiration from games such as What Remains of Edith Finch and Life is Strange in addition to the warm coastal locales of Goa, India, the game puts players in the shoes of Sid on his journey home for a family reunion. Utilizing the same stylization of the developer’s previous title, Rainswept, the game serves up a highly stylizing atmospheric narrative experience.
The story follows Sid, who is a struggling author dealing with a creative block. He has a deadline for a grant application and to conquer the block players will play the very story he is writing. From getting cozy with old friends to solving puzzles players will participate in a memorable meditative experience.
I’m really excited to share a game world based off Goa, India with the rest of the world. I think it’ll be a very new and unique experience, and I can’t wait to see what players think of it!.

In June 2020 the developer ran a successful Kickstarter campaign for Forgotten Fields and even went on to meet two additional stretch goals. The game also participated in the 2020 Steam Summer Festival where a PC demo was and still is available to download and play on Steam, itch.io and Gamejolt game distribution platforms.
Forgotten Fields release date is set for April 14, 2021 with a launch on Steam for $14.99 USD. During the game’s first week of launch buyers will be treated to a 15% discount.
